Embroidered Patches The process of producing embroidered patches consists of four steps.
Dye Sublimation Patches Working from the artwork design the dye sublimation process uses a heat sensitive sublimation dye, dissolved in a liquid, to print graphics and text onto special paper in a process called dye sub transfer. The dye sub transfer and a sublimatable item are placed into a heat press resulting in a accurate transfer of the design. Once the heating cycle is completed, the design has been transferred to the patch and has actually become a part of the surface. Run your finger across the surface of sublimation and you will feel nothing. The finished dye sublimination patches are then package and shipped. Woven Patches The process of making finely detailed woven patches is based on the ability to accurately translate artwork into the medium of embroidered artwork (digitizing) for translation to the computer controlled weaving machines for production. Woven patches display the tiny detail of small lettering and the fine details of the design better than an embrodered patch. The finished woven patches are then package and shipped.
